All our
systems include this limited warranty, unless otherwise
stated.
These warranty terms exclude
Monitors supplied with computer systems. Monitors are
covered by their own warranties issued directly from their
manufacturer. Please refer to the warranty card supplied
with your monitor. Monitor warranties are usually for 3
years, unless stated.

12 Month Warranty
- Parts and Labour:
If, during the period of the
warranty, UK Computer Builder diagnose a hardware
malfunction with a computer, you will be issued with an RMA
number and advised to return the goods to UK Computer
Builder for repair. Repairs will normally be carried out
within 5 working days and in the unlikely event of a
deviation from this, you will be informed of a revised date.
No goods can be accepted for repair under warranty without
an RMA number.
2nd
year labour warranty only. UK Computer Builder is not
liable to cover the cost of any components which fail after
the first year of ownership. However, the Company will not
charge any labour costs to replace or repair components
which fail during the term of this limited warranty. If the
component needs to be replaced for whatever reason, the
customer will be advised of the fault and the cost of the
replacement part, and will be given the option to go ahead
with the repair.
Please Note. These
warranties are hardware warranties only. If your machine is
returned to us and the fault is due to changes you have made
to the software configuration you will be charged a standard
maintenance fee of £30 to re-install your operating system.
All our machines are thoroughly tested and set up for
optimum performance before delivery. We are not responsible
for machines not working correctly due to alterations you
may have made to the set up, or software/hardware you have
installed after taking delivery of the machine.
Terms of payment and
delivery of goods
Our standard terms are cash or
credit card payment with order. Delivery of systems is
usually 5 working days after we acknowledge your order, but
may from time to time be longer due to supplier delays or
technical issues. We will not part ship your order without
your consent. Delivery dates indicated on the Invoice are
approximate and do not form a contract of delivery, although
we will do everything possible to ensure goods are delivered
on time. Goods remain the property of UK Computer Builder
until paid for in full. We cannot be held responsible for
loss of business or income due to shipment delays of any
kind.
Whilst the vendor makes every
effort to ensure that goods supplied correspond to in every
respect with the specification or description provided as
the case may be, the vendor is not responsible for the minor
variations in specification, in colour or other design
features, and no such minor variation shall entitle the
purchaser to rescind the contract or shall be the subject of
any claim against the vendor by the purchaser. In
particular the style of ATX case used in our systems is
subject to change.
All items returned to the
vendor by prearrangement and found no fault will be subject
to 25% restocking charge, providing the goods are in
original stock condition and returned in their original
packaging. Any downward variation of this restocking charge
is at the sole discretion of the vendor. Cancelled
orders incur a 10% administration charge to cover credit
card fees.
All items returned to UK
Computer Builder must be packed in their original shipping
packaging. The vendor is not liable for any damage in
transit unless the goods are so packed and unless the goods
are collected by the vendors Courier. The purchaser is
advised to insure all goods in transit to the vendor for the
full replacement value.
Please Note
- we can not be held responsible under any circumstances for
the loss of data stored on a machine supplied by us due to
mechanical or software failure or any other reason, under
any of our warranty schemes. Nor are we responsible for
any consequential loss howsoever caused.
This Warranty applies to UK
only. Statutory rights are not affected. Refunds will be
given at the discretion of UK Computer Builder management.
